Frequently Asked Questions

1. What exactly is branding photography, and how is it different from headshots?

Think of branding photography as headshots’ cooler, way-more-interesting cousin. Sure, we’ll grab a great photo of you looking like your fabulous self, but branding photos tell the whole story of your business. They show you in action, your products, your workspace — all the little details that make your brand totally you. It’s about giving your audience a sneak peek into what it’s like to work with you — and making sure your personality shines through every shot.

2. I hate being in front of the camera. Can I still get good photos?

First of all — same. And second — absolutely! You are exactly who I created this service for. Most of my clients start off feeling awkward, and it’s literally my job to help you move past that. No weird poses, no fake smiles. I’ll guide you every step of the way so you feel comfortable, confident, and dare I say… even have fun? You don’t have to be a model to get photos you love. You just have to show up as you — I’ll handle the rest.

3. What should I wear for my branding session?

Think of it like this — if you were meeting your dream client tomorrow, what would you wear to feel like the best version of yourself? Whether that’s jeans and a blazer, bold colors, or something totally out of the box, we’ll make sure your outfits match your brand vibe and your personality. Don’t worry — I’ll help you figure it all out so you’re not staring at your closet wondering what happened to all your clothes.

4. How do I know what types of photos I actually need?

Good news — you don’t need to figure that out on your own! After you book, I’ll send you a client questionnaire to help you start thinking about how you want to use your photos — for your website, social media, launches, all of it. Then, during our planning call, we’ll not only talk about what you need right now, but also your big future plans so we can capture images that grow with your business. Whether you need lifestyle shots, product photos, behind-the-scenes moments (or all of the above), we’ll build a shot list that covers it all — plus some extras you didn’t even know you wanted.

5. I’m not sure my brand is “ready” for a photoshoot. Should I wait?

Nope! You don’t need to have everything perfectly polished before we work together. In fact, a photoshoot can help you figure out how you want to show up. Whether you’re launching, rebranding, or just tired of using that same selfie from 2017, professional photos can help you take your brand to the next level — no matter where you’re starting.

6. Can you help me figure out where to shoot and what props to bring?

Oh absolutely — I love this part! Whether we shoot at your home office, a cute local studio, or out and about around town, we’ll pick spots that match your vibe. As for props, I’ll help you brainstorm what to bring — think laptop, coffee cup, your products, maybe even your dog if they’re part of the story. The goal is to make it all feel natural, not staged — like a little behind-the-scenes peek into your world.

7. How far in advance should I book my session?

The sweet spot is usually 3-4 weeks out, especially if you want time to plan outfits, locations, and all those fun details. Got a big launch or rebrand on the horizon? Even more lead time is a good idea so you’re not scrambling at the last minute. That said — if you’re a little last-minute like me sometimes, reach out anyway! I might just have a spot open for you.

8. What types of clients do you work with?

Short answer? All kinds! I work with business owners, creatives, and professionals from every industry, background, and stage of business — from brand-new entrepreneurs figuring it all out to seasoned pros ready for their next glow-up. My lens (and my studio) is wide open to everyone — all identities, all stories, all walks of life. Whoever you are, however you show up in the world, you’re welcome here. Your story matters, and I’m here to help you tell it through photos that feel like you — the real, brilliant, one-of-a-kind you

9. How long will it take to get my photos?

I know you’re excited to see your photos (trust me — I’m excited too!), so I work hard to get them to you within 2-4 weeks. Need them faster? No problem — I’ve got a rush option if you’re on a tight timeline (there’s a small additional fee for that, but sometimes you just need those photos yesterday, right?). Either way, I’ll keep you in the loop so you’re never left wondering when your gorgeous images will land in your inbox.

Because let’s be real — good things take time, but great things take just a little longer.

Still have questions?

No worries — I’m all about making this process easy, fun, and totally stress-free. If you’re wondering about something I didn’t cover here (or you just want to make sure I’m a real human and not a robot with a camera), feel free to reach out! I’m always happy to chat, answer questions, and help you figure out if branding photos are the right next step for your business.

Let’s make some magic together — your brand deserves it!
