As a business owner or a professional, you are being told over and over again that you need branding photos done. Here’s the thing though, you HATE being in front of the camera or you are not customer facing so you don’t think you really need them.
But, I have good news and bad news!
The bad news is, you really should have branding photos done. Here’s why…professional images help you grow trust between you and your ideal clients. Imagine that you are scouring the internet for someone to provide you a service. You come across some companies who have a website full of images that look like they were taken on a phone. You also come across companies that have professional images. Which company are you more likely to choose? The one with professional images, right? Your ideal clients would probably choose the same.
Okay, now for the good news!
You can have branding images with you in them, without you being the main focus of the image. Through professional camera techniques and unique angles, you can have the best of both worlds! So, you can let go of all of the apprehension and trust that you can get branding images that you LOVE and stay (mostly) out of the limelight!
Kaimana is YOU! Below is her story.
Kaimana is a jewelry designer who does most of her service online. We worked together for a model shoot and a product shoot for her jewelry. After that, she told me that she was ready to have her own branding shoot done. We scheduled the shoot, had a few consultation calls, and just a few days before the shoot she called me and told me that she wanted to cancel the shoot. At first, I took it personally. But I told her that, of course, we can cancel her shoot. We continued to chat about other shoots we had scheduled together and as we did so, she opened up and explained why she canceled her branding shoot.
She was anxious about the shoot!
She was afraid that she was going to get images that she didn't like because to her, branding photos are posed and that didn't resonate with her or her brand. She told me that she wanted 'working' photos for her brand. I felt so blessed that she was able to share her concerns with me and that we were able to get images she LOVES! So during her model shoot, I also captured more candid style, working images of her, that she now uses for her company.
